Diablo III players can log in from tomorrow and receive a new pet called Dominion’s Revenge, a miniature Terran Battlecruiser. ![]() Overwatch players can sign into the game between 6 March and 3 April 2018 to receive a Kerrigan skin for Widowmaker. ![]() Other Blizzard games will be joining in the celebrations through the next month as well. Blizzard will set up an anniversary stream on Twitch featuring StarCraft players and personalities through the past two decades, and the short film will be available on the StarCraft Youtube channel on 31 March 2018, titled “StarCraft is Life: A Celebration”. Players on StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2 can log in on 6 March 2018 (that’s tomorrow!) to receive some commemorative in-game skins that change the UI theme, and StarCraft 2 players will get an additional portrait and decal as well. To celebrate the game’s anniversary, Blizzard Entertainment is preparing a series of in-game giveaways, several live streams on Twitch, and a short film has been commissioned for the franchise, among a dozen other little things. In that span of time, the series has become one of the strongest franchises in gaming history, and it’s only spawned a handful of games. You remember how old that Xbox One Duke controller article made you feel? Well, how’s this for a shocker – it’s been 20 years since the original StarCraft was released on disc. ![]()
